Contractor Tax Acknowledgment
Effective: January 1, 2026
This Acknowledgment summarizes the tax responsibilities of independent contractors who use the Jobono marketplace, operated by Nexoria Enterprise DBA Jobono.
1. Self-Employment Tax Status
As an independent contractor, you are self-employed for tax purposes. Amounts paid to you through the platform are not wages. No federal, state, or local income taxes, Social Security, or Medicare taxes are withheld from your contractor payouts unless required by law.
2. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for reporting income earned through the platform and paying any applicable federal income tax, state and local income tax, self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare), estimated taxes, and any business or licensing taxes that apply to you.
3. Tax Forms
Jobono may issue a Form 1099-NEC or other applicable tax form when required by law. To support tax reporting, you may be asked to complete and keep current a Form W-9. See our W-9 and 1099 Policy.
